Although so far he never got into the international 'spotlight' as much as Shakira or Juanes, Cabas is one of Colombia's leading artists. His music is a mix of light-weight pop music with a lot of Colombian 'roots' influences from native music styles like the Cumbia. This shoot was meant for the cover of the Andean version of Rolling Stone, but then the Argentinian 'headquarters' decided that covers of Colombian groups sold bad (after making 1 horribly photographed Colombian cover which sold badly). I am very sorry for the not-very-personal tone and character of this
mail - you may or may not remember me, we might have met in some sleazy
bar in some part of the earth and exchanged emails, we might be colleagues
or best friends, or just share an interest in photography. We might
have worked or even lived together in the past.
