May 2005 - Sounds Of Sunday, Zaandam, The Netherlands
At 5pm on a Sunday afternoon,
the Dutch take their cars and drive to a desolate industrial area in the
surroundings of Amsterdam. In a big hangar-like building people of all
age and color meet up to dance to the hard electronic trance beats of
the 'Sounds Of Sunday', or S.O.S.
Some of the visitors probably just visited mom and dad, others have just
woken up after last night's party, and some are clearly still going since
Saturday night. For them this is the after-after party. And even though
it is still bright outside, inside it feels like the full Saturday night
party all over. With just one difference: The party is over at midnight.
So that everybody can go back to work healthily on Monday morning.

I am very sorry for the not-very-personal tone and character of this
mail - you may or may not remember me, we might have met in some sleazy
bar in some part of the earth and exchanged emails, we might be colleagues
or best friends, or just share an interest in photography. We might
have worked or even lived together in the past.
Of course, if you would not like to receive any more mails just let
